Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. Pour réduire notre impact sur l'environnement, nous choisissons cette méthode de teinture dans la masse, pour notre veste de coloris noir, en intégrant les pigments de couleurs dès la fabrication du fil.
Recycled polyester (Colours other than black)
By recycling plastic bottles to produce our polyester, we have reduced the utilisation of oil-based resources while preserving the quality and performance of the material during your activities.
Nos vestes, autres que le coloris noir, contiennent 75% de polyester recyclé.
Water repellent without PFC
The fabric of this jacket is water repellent: it lets water slide over its surface without seeping in. Ainsi, le textile ne se gorge pas d’eau et reste léger et respirant.
La déperlance s’obtient par un traitement appliqué sur la face externe du tissu : il n'utilise pas de composés fluorés qui ont un impact nocif sur la faune et la flore.
Imperméabilité du composant de cette veste
L’imperméabilité d’un tissu, assurée par une enduction ou une membrane, se mesure en Schmerber ou mm H20 (pression exercée par une colonne d’eau). Plus ce nombre est élevé, plus le tissu est imperméable.
Cette veste est conçue avec un composant imperméable enduit (norme JIS 1092 standard) : ce composant résiste à 5000 mm H20 (Schmerber) avant lavage (soit la pression exercée par 5 mètres de colonne d'eau).
Durable performance of your jacket
To maintain a durable water-repellent fabric, we recommend reactivating it regularly.
Vous pouvez le faire tous les 3 lavages (un rinçage abondant est capital), ou après une dizaine d'utilisations sous la pluie.
You can easily reactivate the water repellent property by warming the fabric:
- avec votre sèche-linge pendant 15 minutes (programme synthétique),
- avec un sèche-cheveux à 20 cm de distance en faisant 2 allers-retours,
- ou 2 passages avec le fer à repasser, réglé sur délicat sans fonction vapeur.
Fabric breathability
The fabric of this jacket is breathable: RET = 12.Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET).
This is its capacity to let water vapour generated by the body during physical activity escape and therefore avoid water accumulating on the skin.
The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric.
RET ≤ 6 : tissu très respirant
RET ≤ 12 : tissu respirant
RET ≤ 20 : little or no breathability
