Can I be sure that my jacket is warm enough for my winter hikes?
We developed your jacket for wintry conditions: cold, rain and snow. Insulation is provided by 200 g/sqm thick wadding on the body and 150 g/sqm on the arms (synthetic component that insulates thanks to the air trapped in its fibres).
We’ve added an inner flap underneath the zip to stop cold air from entering. The toggle tightening at the jacket hem is the finishing touch to ensure your jacket is comfortable down to -10°.
How does my jacket protect me from outdoor conditions?
Your jacket is designed with a waterproof outer component that keeps out water and wind. To keep you warm in winter you must also protect your extremities (head, hands, feet). The warm hood, the Velcro fastenings at the cuffs and the high collar prevent the cold from entering. Two warm pockets in extremely soft fleece protect your hands from the cold.

IMPERMÉABILITÉ DES COMPOSANTS DE CETTE VESTE
L’imperméabilité d’un tissu, assurée par une enduction ou une membrane, se mesure en Schmerber ou mm H²0 (pression exercée par une colonne d’eau). Plus ce nombre est élevé, plus le tissu est imperméable.
Cette veste comporte un composant imperméable (norme JIS 1092 standard) résistant à 5 000 mm H²0 (Schmerber) avant lavage.

How to preserve the technical qualities of my jacket?
A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products (spray or liquid) for this purpose are available in our stores.

How to dress properly for snow hiking?
To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend using the 3-layer principle:
layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry.
layer 2: The second layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outwards.
layer 3: The jacket protects you from the outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind.
The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.
